WWE have officially announced the date and location for the 2023 Royal Rumble.
The Premium Live Event will be airing from the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas on Saturday January 28th 2023. The news was broken by WWE on social media on September 7th:
Tickets for the event will be going on sale on Friday September 30th. Fans can click here to register their interest for pre-sale tickets for the event.
WWE last hosted the Royal Rumble at the Alamodome in 2017, with the Royal Rumble match being won by Randy Orton and John Cena defeating AJ Styles to win his 16th World Championship in WWE.
The Royal Rumble match is one of the most popular stipulation matches amongst fans of WWE. 30 Men and 30 Women each enter their respective match at set time intervals. Eliminations occur when a superstar is thrown over the top rope and both feet hit the floor. The winner goes on to WrestleMania to face the champion of their choosing. The 2022 Royal Rumbles were won by Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar.
