Drew McIntyre has shown the battle scars following an attack by Roman Reigns on SmackDown.
McIntyre would defeat Sami Zayn in the main event of the August 26th episode of SmackDown. Immediately following the victory, McIntyre was blindsided by Roman Reigns and The Usos.
McIntyre would fend off The Usos, but was then hit with a spear from out of nowhere by Roman Reigns. The Usos would then repeatedly hit McIntyre with chairs as The Tribal Chief watched on. Reigns would then interject and lock in the guillotine until Drew McIntyre was unconscious. Roman would set up a chair over McIntyre’s body and sit on it, stating that no one will takes the titles from him a SmackDown went off the air.
WWE’s social media posted the following photo on the social media after SmackDown went off the air, showing the multiple welts on the back of Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre will challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on September 3rd at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event in Cardiff, Wales.
