The August 24th edition of AEW Dynamite will be broadcast live from the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. A Title Unification match and a New Japan faction in action are amongst the announced matches due to take place on the show.
Linear AEW World Champion CM Punk and Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley met face to face on the August 17th episode of Dynamite. Following multiple verbal and physical altercations, it was announced that the Undisputed AEW World Champion would be determined on August 24th as Punk and Moxley will face off to unify the two titles.
Also on the August 17th Dynamite, Bryan Danielson defeated Jericho Appreciation Society member Daniel Garcia in a 2 out of 3 falls match, with both competitors being praised afterwards. After the match, Chris Jericho would attack Danielson, with Garcia being conflicted with the post match beatdown. Jericho and Garcia will meet face to face on Dynamite.
The AEW Trios Championship Tournament will continue on Dynamite. The first round match will see Death Triangle [PAC and The Lucha Bros] face off against New Japan’s United Empire [Will Ospreay and Aussie Open].
To build towards the trios match at All Out, which will see Wardlow and FTR face Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, Lethal will face FTR’s Dax Harwood on Dynamite.
