Gunther To Defend The Intercontinental Championship At Clash AT The Castle

The Intercontinental Championship will be on the line in Cardiff as Champion Gunther defends the title against Sheamus at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event.

Sheamus won the right to challenge for the title on the August 19th episode of SmackDown. The Celtic Warrior faced Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin in a Fatal 5 Way match. It should be noted that as SmackDown aired live from Montreal, Sami Zayn got a great response from the WWE Universe, with many in attendance wanting Zayn to be victorious.

Zayn looked like he would win the match, hitting a Helluva kick onto Ricochet, but Zayn was pulled out of the ring by Corbin. Sheamus would hit the Brogue Kick onto Corbin to win the match and advance to Cardiff.
