The August 16th edition of NXT 2.0 will be a special themed episode of the product. The show will be titled “NXT Heatwave” and is being presented as a mini Premium Live Event.

The NXT Championship will be defended on the show as champion Bron Breakker will be putting the title on the line against JD McDonagh. The man formerly known as Jordan Devlin in NXT UK made a big impression in the United Kingdom, and is looking to capture the top prize in NXT at NXT Heatwave.

Repackaged star Giovanni Vinci has been picking up momentum with multiple victories on NXT. Vinci hopes to capture his first title following the repackage as he will face Carmelo Hayes for the North American Championship at Heatwave.

Best friends turned into bitter rivals as former tag team champions Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade imploded on the July 12th episode of NXT. Perez will be out for revenge as she will face Cora Jade at NXT Heatwave.

The following matches will be taking place at NXT Heatwave:

• Bron Breakker (c) vs. JD McDonagh – Singles match for the NXT Championship.
• Mandy Rose (c) vs. Zoey Stark – Singles match for the NXT Women’s Championship.
• Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Giovanni Vinci – Singles match for the North American Championship.
• Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade.
• Tony D’Angelo vs. Santos Escobar – Street fight. If D’Angelo wins, Escobar will be banned from NXT. If Escobar wins, Legado Del Fantasma is free from the D’Angelo family.
