The August 12th edition of SmackDown will be broadcast live from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show will continue the build towards the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event.

On the August 5th SmackDown, Shayna Baszler earned the opportunity to face Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Clash at the Castle by being victorious in a gauntlet match. Morgan and Baszler will make the match official with a contract signing taking place on SmackDown.

The tournament to crown new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will also be taking place on SmackDown as Shotzi and Xia Li will team up to face the team of Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez.

The following matches and segments will be taking place on SmackDown:

• Xia Li and Shotzi vs. Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez – First round match in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament.
• Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler to sign the contract to make their Clash at the Castle match official.
