NXT have announced that the NXT Women’s Championship will be defended on an upcoming special edition of the show. NXT will present Heatwave on Tuesday August 16th, and will see Mandy Rose put the title on the line against Zoey Stark.
Stark made the return to NXT on the July 19th episode, entering a Battle Royal to earn the right to challenge Rose for the Championship. Stark would last eliminate Cora Jade to become the new number one contender.
If Stark is successful is defeating Rose, this will be the end of a near 300 day reign as NXT Women’s Champion for the leader of Toxic Attraction.
At the time of writing, this is the only match that has been officially announced for the Heatwave special edition of NXT.
