Rhea Ripley made her return to WWE programming on the July 25th edition of Monday Night Raw.
Following Rey and Dominik defeating The Judgment Day members Damian Priest and Finn Balor, which also took place 20 years since Rey Mysterio debuted in WWE, a celebration took place backstage. As a backstage party took place to celebrate the milestone, a returning Ripley would crash the party. Following an initial confrontation by Mysterio’s daughter Aliyah, Ripley would drag Dominik out into the hallway.
Both Rey and Dominik Mysterio were then ambushed by The Judgment Day, which ended with Rey being Powerbombed through a table.
Ripley was initially booked to face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. However, due to injury, the former champion was not medically cleared to compete.
Following repeated attacks by The Judgement Day, WWE announced later in the night that The Mysterios will face Damian Priest and Finn Balor in a No Disqualification Tag Team Match at SummerSlam.
