Bryan Danielson will return to the ring on the July 27th special of AEW Dynamite entitled Fight For The Fallen.
All Elite Wrestling have officially announced that Danielson’s first opponent will be Daniel Garcia of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
The American Dragon has not been seen in the ring since the critically acclaimed Anarchy in the Arena match at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Danielson would then announce before Forbidden Door that he was not medically cleared to compete at the AEW and NJPW crossover show. The injury announcement would see replacement Claudio Castagnoli make his debut for AEW, also joining the Blackpool Combat Club and taking part in the second ever AEW Blood and Guts match.
The announcement was first broken during an AEW panel at the San Diego Comic Con, where Danielson has stated that he will “Kick his [Garcia’s] f*cking head in.”
The current line-up for the July 27th Dynamite is as follows:
- Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia
- Tony Nese and Mark Sterling vs. Swerve – 2 on 1 handicap match
- Jon Moxley (c) vs. RUSH – Singles match for the Interim AEW World Championship.
- Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Miyu Yamashita – Singles match for the AEW Women’s Championship
- Ricky Starks (c) vs. Danhausen – Singles match for the FTW Championship
