The next NXT Superstar to face Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship was decided with a 20 Woman Battle Royal on the July 19th episode of NXT.

The Battle Royal was won by a returning Zoey Stark, who would last eliminate Cora Jade to earn the right to challenge Mandy Rose for the title. The other entrants in the match were Yulia Leon, Sloane Jacobs, Lash Legend, Tatum Paxley, Tiffany Stratton, Elektra Lopez, Arianna Grace, Valentina Feroz, Kiana James, Sarray, Wendy Choo, Amari Miller, Fallon Henley, Indi Hartwell, Alba Fyre, Nikkita Lyons, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, and Ivy Nile.

Cora Jade initially tried to avoid combat by jumping through the middle rope, but was stopped by Ivy Nile. Jade was then tossed back into the ring, but then dove out of the ring again and fled to the backstage area.

After a series of eliminations, the final two contestants seemingly came down to Tiffany Stratton and Zoey Stark. Following multiple near eliminations, Zoey Stark would eliminate Stratton. At this point the bell did not ring, signalling that the match was still continuing. Shortly afterwards, Cora Jade tried to sneak behind Stark to steal the victory, but was quickly eliminated by Stark to give the returning superstar the victory.

The return of Zoey Stark is the first appearance by Stark since November, where Stark suffered a torn ACL in a match at Halloween Havoc.
