The ratings for the July 1st episodes of WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage have been published. On average, 2.142 million people watched SmackDown and 486,000 people watched AEW rampage. The numbers have been obtained by Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics:
Compared to the previous week, SmackDown has seen a decrease in viewers while Rampage has seen an increase. The June 24th episode of SmackDown drew an average audience of 2.231 million, meaning that the decrease calculates to approximately 4%. SmackDown obtained a key demographic rating of 0.49, also down from the 0.53 rating from June 24th.
The June 24th edition of AEW rampage drew an average audience of 422,000, meaning that the increase calculates to approximately 15.2%. Rampage drew a key demographic rating of 0.16, also up from the June 24th rating of 0.12.
SmackDown saw the final build to Money in the Bank take place, with the final entrant added to the Men’s Money in the Bank match. Rampage saw the fallout from the Forbidden Door pay-per-view take place, with the next challenger for the Interim AEW World Championship determined.
