John Cena: “I Don’t Know When You’re Gonna See Me In The Ring Again”

John Cena addressed the WWE Universe on the Raw that marked 20 years in WWE for the 16 time World Champion.

Cena was predominantly featured throughout Raw, appearing in the opening segment and multiple backstage segments throughout. Cena would eventually appear live in front of the crowd in Texas, being introduced by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and the WWE roster coming out to the stage to join the WWE Universe in providing their congratulations.

John Cena would thank the fans for all of their support over the past 2 decades, saying that he is a better person becasue of the fans:

“WWE has prepared me for anything, and I mean because of you. Because of your reactions and your investment in me, you have made me a better human being. Because of you, I am a better professional. Because of you I am a better husband. Because of you I am a better person.

“Being in the WWE and spending moments with the families I spent today have taught me empathy, have taught me caring, have taught me kindness, you guys sure as hell have taught me humility. And you’ve taught me perseverance.”

The 16 time World Champion would then state that an in-ring return for Cena is currently unknown at this time. Cena stated that while there will be multiple matches to come, it is just not known when they will be:

“And yeah, it’s been 20 years, and yeah, I’m 45 years old. I only state that because I don’t know when you’re gonna see me in the ring again. I’m not saying you won’t, I just don’t know when that’s gonna be. So I need to say this now.

“It ain’t just gonna be one, it ain’t just gonna be one, don’t worry about it. I just don’t know when that’s gonna be so I need to say this now.”

The segment ended with John Cena greeting WWE fans as he made his exit, also donating merchandise to some members of the WWE Universe.

Congratulatory messages were seen throughout the June 27th Raw, with both WWE and AEW stars providing their well wishes to John Cena.
