FTR won the winner takes all match to become the Ring of Honor and IWGP Tag Team Champions.

The match was the second one to take place on the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Very early on in the match, Dax Harwood landed awkwardly after hitting a running elbow drop. Harwood was visibly in pain and quickly tagged to his partner Cash Wheeler and rolled to the outside. Dax Harwood was then escorted to the back by the ringside doctor, leaving Cash Wheeler to fight for FTR on his own.

United Empire would isolate Cash Wheeler and dominate both Wheeler and Ropppongi Vice, gaining the advantage. However, the crowd would then come alive as Dax would return heavily taped up. Despite the injury, Harwood would fight through the pain and would finish the match.

FTR would end the match by hitting the Big Rig onto Rocky Romero to become victorious. This is FTR’s first reign as IWGP tag Team Champions and a successful retention of the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler currently hold 3 titles, as they are also AAA Tag Team Champions.
