A New Japan star has not been medically cleared for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

As announced by All Elite Wrestling on social media, Tomohiro Ishii was injured in the qualifying match against opponent Clark Connors. AEW have abounded that Clark Connors will take Ishii’s place in the 4 Way match to crown the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion. In a follow-up post from New Japan, it was announced that Ishii has sustained an injury to his left knee.

The updated card for Forbidden Door is as follows:

• The Buy-In match: Max Caster & The Gunn Club vs. NJPW Dojo’s Kevin Knight & The DKC & Alex Coughlin & Yuya Uemura.
