The Jericho Appreciation Society has gained more members as a result of the events that took place on the June 15th edition of AEW Dynamite.
The hair vs. hair match between Chris Jericho and Ortiz kicked off the Road Rager special. The match was very physical, with Ortiz brining the physicality from the opening bell. Jericho would take advantage later on in the match, showboating with the sports entertainment demeanour, the trademark of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
The Appreciation Society tried to take advantage while Ortiz was on the outside, but Eddie Kingston would neutralise the faction members with a steel chair.
The closing moments of the match saw the referee distracted, which enabled who appeared to be Fuego Del Sol to slide into the ring. However, in a shocking turn of events, the masked man would take off the mask to reveal that it was in fact Sammy Guevara.
Jericho would successfully pin Ortiz following the bat strike. Sammy Guevara has been a long time ally of Chris Jericho, being part of The Inner Circle when the group formed back on episode one of AEW Dynamite.
As the barber made his way into the ring, Ortiz snatched the clippers away, instead electing to shave his hair himself.
