Athena is the latest signee for All Elite Wrestling.

The star formerly known as Ember Moon in WWE made the surprise appearance at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Athena would come to the ring following Jade Cargill’s victory over Anna Jay to retain the TBS Championship.

As Athena’s music hit, the crowd popped huge for the new signee. Athena would stand with Kris Stalander and Anna Jay as the trio would confront the opposing trio of Jade Cargill and the accompanying baddies.

In WWE, Athena was known as Ember Moon and would capture the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships one time each. Athena was released by WWE in November 2021 as part of one of the many rounds of cuts made by the company.

Following the release, Athena has been touring the independent scene before arriving in All Elite Wrestling. AEW President Tony Khan confirmed the signing with the All Elite graphic being displayed on social media.
