The May 18th edition of AEW Dynamite will air live from the Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas.
As both of the joker entrants for each of the respective Owen Hart Tournaments will be revealed on the show, this episode of AEW Dynamite is being marketed as “Wildcard Wednesday.” The first semi final of the men’s tournament will be taking place, as Adam Cole faces Jeff Hardy in semi-final one.
Wardlow will be facing the first of his conditions to get to MJF on Dynamite. In order to get the match at Double or Nothing, Mr. Mayhem must take 10 lashes from MJF to advance. If Wardlow successfully takes the lashes, he will face Shawn Spears in a steel cage on May 25th. MJF will be the special referee in this match.
The leaders of two factions will have a heated meeting on the show. Blackpool Combat Club leader William Regal will have a face-to-face confrontation with Jericho Appreciation Society leader Chris Jericho on Dynamite.

- Dr. Britt Baker vs. “The Joker” entrant – Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Quarterfinal
- “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Konosuke Takeshita – CM Punk will be providing special guest commentary
- Wardlow must take 10 lashes from MJF
- A face-to-face confrontation between Chris Jericho and William Regal
