Mia Yim made her return to IMPACT Wrestling at the Under Siege pay-per-view.
The former NXT superstar made the surprise entrance shortly after the match between Taya Valkyrie and Deonna Purrazzo, in which Valkyrie retained the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. After the match, the lights would go down and multiple people wearing masks would be seen at the top of the stage. Following a short countdown, Mia Yim made her entrance. The HBIC would confront Purrazzo, who initially exited the ring, not wanting to face Yim. As Mia Yim went to check on Taya Valkyire, Purrazzo attempted to blindside the returning star, but was unsuccessful.
The return is the first time that the former Knockouts Champion has been inside the IMPACT Zone since 2017. Following her first run in IMPACT, Yim would go on to sign with WWE and would regularly be featured on the black and gold era of NXT. Mia Yim would briefly be seen on the main roster as part of the RETRIBUION faction in 2020 and 2021. Yim was released from her WWE contract in November 2021.
It should be noted that Mia Yim was able to return to IMPACT and keep the name that she used in WWE. In her first run in IMPACT Wrestling, Mia Yim was known as Jade.
