The AEW Women’s Championship will be defended at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. The latest match added will see the champion Thunder Rosa defend the title against Serena Deeb.
The match was made official on the May 4th edition of AEW Dynamite. Serena Deeb officially earned the right to be the number one contender following a victory over Hikaru Shida in a Philadelphia Street Fight on the April 27th Dynamite.
Rosa would come out to the entrance ramp on May 4th. The champion talked about her successes and failures before calling out number once contender Serena Deeb. The challenger came out and stated that they could make the AEW Women’s division could be the best division in the world, before officially declaring the challenge for the title.
Deeb would finish by stating that she would take the championship from Rosa at Double or Nothing, with the match being made official shortly afterwards.
The current announced card for AEW Double or Nothing is as follows:
- Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Serena Deeb – Singles match for the AEW Women’s Championship.
- “Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. CM Punk – Singles match for the AEW World Championship.
- Finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.
- Finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.
