New Japan legend Minoru Suzuki will be making a return to AEW Dynamite on April 13th to take on Samoa Joe.
The match announcement was made during the April 8th episode of AEW Rampage by AEW president Tony Khan. At the Ring of Honor pay-per-view Supercard of Honor, Sukuzi defeated Rhett Titus for the ROH Television Championship. Khan’s announcement also states that the title will be defended in the Dynamite match.
Samoa Joe made a surprise return to Ring of Honor at the same pay-per-view that saw Minoru Suzuki capture the TV Title. It was later announced that Joe had signed for All Elite Wrestling and defeated Max Caster in his debut match to qualify for the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Minoru Suzuki has competed in multiple matches for AEW. In a dream match for many fans, Suzuki faced Bryan Danielson on the Rampage buy-in on October 15th.
The following matches have been announced for the April 13th episode of Dynamite:
- Minoru Suzuki (c) vs. Samoa Joe – Singles match for the ROH World TV Championship.
- Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy (c) vs. reDRagon – Tag team match for the AEW Tag Team Championships.
- Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz vs. Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Daniel Garcia
- MJF vs. Capt. Shawn Dean
- Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland
