“Stone Cold” Steve Austin will be appearing live at WrestleMania 38. It has been confirmed by Austin himself that he will be appearing as a guest on “The KO Show” on Saturday April 2nd, following a challenge by host Kevin Owens.
In recent weeks, Kevin Owens has been insulting the state of Texas, which is where WrestleMania 38 will emanate from. On the March 7th Raw, Owens laid the challenge down for The Texas Rattlesnake to appear at the stupendous Premium Live Event. Owens stated in his promo that Austin’s knees were shot and that we would need a walker to get to the ring. Kevin Owens closed by calling out Austin and that “Stone Cold” would not show up. In a video released on WWE’s YouTube channel, Steve Austin has accepted the challenge:
In the response, Steve Austin states that has been 19 years since his last match, and the loss has been playing on his mind. Austin thanked Owens for lighting a fire inside him once again, and has said that physicality will be taking place in Dallas.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s final match took place at WrestleMania 19, where Austin lost to The Rock. While The Texas Rattlesnake has not had a match for 19 years, he has made multiple appearances at subsequent WrestleMania events, either as a cameo appearance or a referee capacity.
