Brock Lesnar is the new WWE Champion following a victory inside the Elimination Chamber at the Premium Live Event of the same name.
The Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship took place in the main event of the show, as now former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defended the title against AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Riddle, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar. The match started with Austin Theory and Seth Rollins in the ring, while the remaining competitors remained inside their pods until being released periodically.
It should be noted that Bobby Lashley did not officially enter the match. During a spot where Seth Rollins powerbombed Austin Theory, The Visionary drove the young upstart into the pod containing Bobby Lashley. WWE Officials checked on Bobby Lashley and The All Mighty was removed from the match.
Riddle was the 3rd entrant into the match while AJ Styles was 4th. As for Brock Lesnar, The Beast decided that he did not want to wait his turn. Instead, Lesnar kicked open his pod to force his way into the match. Brock Lesnar would go on to dominate the match, quickly dispatching both Riddle and Seth Rollins with F5’s. The last 2 competitors in the match were Austin Theory and Brock Lesnar. Theory, realising the danger, would attempt to run away, but was caught by Brock. There was a hope spot where Austin Theory hit a low blow and DDT onto The Beast, but in the end Brock Lesnar would be victorious by hitting an F5 onto Theory.
The victory now makes Brock Lesnar a 10 time World Champion in WWE. Despite being the WWE Champion, The Beast will have the opportunity to become a double champion at WrestleMania. As Lesnar was victorious at the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble, he will be challenging for Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship at WrestleMania. It appears that this clash will be title vs. title to crown the undisputed champion in WWE.
