The Undertaker has been announced as the first inductee into the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame class. The news was announced on WWE’s social media with he following graphic:
It has also been announced that the Hall of Fame ceremony will take place On Friday April 1st, immediately following the WrestleMania go-home broadcast of SmackDown. The ceremony will also be taking place in The Undertaker’s home state of Texas, which is also the same state in which WrestleMania 38 will be taking place.
The Undertaker is one of the biggest names in the history of WWE. The Phenom’s career in WWE alone has spanned 30 years from the iconic debut at Survivor Series 1990 up until the Final Farewell ceremony at the 2020 edition of the same pay-per-view. The career of The Deadman contains a long list of accolades including being a 7 time World Champion in WWE, 6 time Tag Team Champion, Royal Rumble winner and a 21 match winning streak at WrestleMania. The Undertaker’s final match also took place at the biggest event in WWE’s calendar, defeating AJ Styles in the cinematic Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.
