Brock Lesnar has won the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match. The Beast Incarnate entered the match in the number 30 spot to win the match for the second time in his career, earning a championship match at WrestleMania.
The Men’s Royal Rumble match took place in the main event of the Premium Live Event. Earlier in the show, Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley following interference by Roman Reigns. As the buzzer sounded for the final entrant in the Royal Rumble, Lesnar’s music hit, in which the former WWE Champion came to the ring and cleared the other contestants, including surprise entrants Bad Bunny and Shane McMahon.
The final two came down to Lesnar and a returning Drew McIntyre. Lesnar would go on to throw McIntyre over the top rope and win a title match at WrestleMania. As previously mentioned, this is the second time that Brock Lesnar has won the Royal Rumble, with the first victory taking place back in 2003.
Providing all 3 champions keep hold of their titles leading up to WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar may challenge for either the WWE Championship in a rematch against Bobby Lashley, the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns or Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship.
In another surprising series of events, Ronda Rousey made a return to WWE and went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble.
