Reported Update On Ronda Rousey’s WWE Status

A major update on Rousey Rousey returning to WWE has been reported. The news, which has been published by Fightful Select, those internally in WWE have been discussing an involvement by the former Raw Women’s Champion at the Royal Rumble, which could be either an appearance similarly seen to the 2018 event, or the Rumble debut of the MMA legend.

The report also states that the return of Ronda Rousey has been a “poorly kept secret” in WWE. The sources spoken to by Fightful have also stated that Rousey has been training, and the return to a WWE ring is a matter of “When and not if.”

It should be noted that the report concludes by saying that Rousey has not been confirmed for the Rumble, but there is significant chatter about a comeback.

As previously mentioned, Ronda Rousey’s first appearance for WWE came at the end of the 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Rousey would go on to make her in-ring debut for the company at WrestleMania 34 teaming with Kurt Angle to face the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in one of the best debut matches in the history of the company. The former UFC Champion would go onto capture the Raw Women’s Championship and hold it until the first all women’s main at event of WrestleMania at the 35th edition in 2019.

In September 2021, Ronda Rousey and Husband Travis Browne announced the birth of their first daughter.
