Lio Rush will no longer be under contract with All Elite Wrestling in February 2022. The AEW star recently took to social media to state that his current deal with the promotion will expire on February 14th. In the same social media post, Rush has also provided a contact email so that bookings can be made for after this date.
As this is an expiration of contract as opposed to a release, a non-compete clause will not be in effect. This means that Lio Rush will be able to appear for any company after Valentines Day.
Lio Rush has been with All Elite Wrestling since May 2021, where he was the surprise joker entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Despite being a member of the AEW roster, Rush has been critical of some of the promotion’s practices. Most recently, Rush was critical about the way that AEW president Tony Khan handled the departure of former AEW wrestler Big Swole.
