Reported WWE Saudi Arabia Plans

Multiple plans for WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia have reportedly been revealed. Firstly, the proposed date of the next Saudi Arabia pay-per-view has been potentially leaked, with Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast reporting the news that the next Saudi show will be taking place on Saturday February 19th. Zarian has a good track record in reporting WWE news in recent months.

In an update, a big match has been reportedly been revealed to take place at the show. As reported by Fightful Select, the current plan is for WWE to hold an Elimination Chamber match at the next Saudi show. The report also states that this has been working plan since November 2021.

If this takes place, this will continue the recent theme of big stipulation matches taking place outside of the pay-per-view of the same name. As seen at Crown Jewel 2021, a Hell in a Cell match took place, which is the first time since WrestleMania 32 that a Hell in a Cell match took place on a pay-per-view not named after the iconic match.

The Elimination Chamber match has been a mainstay in WWE for nearly 20 years, with the first match taking place at Survivor Series 2002. At the time of writing, 28 Elimination Chamber matches have taken place on WWE pay-per-views.
