Multiple AEW stars have contracted Coronavirus, and as a result will miss the first episode of AEW Dynamite to air on the TBS network.
Firstly, Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks will not be seen on AEW TV on January 5th. The news was confirmed on The Young Buck’s Twitter page, in which the bio states the following:
“Loyal to a fault, but sometimes have to make executive decisions. Always book ourselves strong. Our future grandkids are set for life. Matt has covid.”
In a follow up report by Bryan Alvarez, both Brandon Cutler and Matt’s brother Nick will also miss the upcoming edition of Dynamite. Alvarez reports that Cutler has also contracted COVID and Nick Jackson was with both men for 18 hours. Due to this lengthy interaction, Nick has been identified as a close contact and will also be isolating.
The report ends by stating that neither The Young Bucks or Brandon Cutler have travelled to Newark, New Jersey, which is where the debut Dynamite on TBS will be taking place. It is believed that all three men are at home in California. The last appearance by The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler on AEW TV took place on the December 29th episode of Dynamite, where the trio were ringside to see the team of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly face the team of Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends.
Features of Wrestling would like to wish all 3 men a full and speedy recovery.
