Kyle O’Reilly is All Elite. The former NXT star made his presence felt in the opening contest of the Holiday Bash special edition of Dynamite, which took place on December 22nd.
The first match of the show saw Adam Cole face Orange Cassidy. The match saw multiple interference sports, with both The Young Bucks and Chaos attempting to get involved. In the closing segments of the match, Bobby Fish came to ringside and distracted the referee. The distraction allowed Kyle O’Reilly to sneak into the ring and blindside Orange Cassidy. Cole then made his way back into the ring and hit the Boom onto Cassidy to pick up the victory.
After the bell, O’Reilly returned to the ring and continued the assault on Cassidy. Trent and Chuck Taylor attempted to save Orange Cassidy, but Fish, Cole and O’Reilly stood tall. The closing angle of the segment saw The Young Bucks come to the ring, with Adam Cole being torn between which side to choose. Cole left with his former Undisputed Era team mates as The Young Bucks looked confused in the ring.
As is tradition, the signing of Kyle O’Reilly to All Elite Wrestling has been accompanied with the traditional “All Elite” graphic:
Along with Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish and Adam Cole teamed in NXT as The Undisputed Era faction. As a group, at one point in NXT they held all the championships at the same time. O’Reilly did not sign a new deal when his contract expired in December of 2021, so no non-compete clause was in effect, meaning that a move to All Elite Wrestling could take place sooner.
