“Hangman” Adam Page Vs. Bryan Danielson Rematch Announced

The date has been set for a rematch between “Hangman” Adam Page and Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship. Page will defend the title against Danielson for a second time on Wednesday January 5th, which will be the debut episode of Dynamite on the TBS network.

This match will also have a stipulation attached to it. The AEW Champion came to the ring for an in-ring interview segment, and stated that since the first match he has not felt like a champion, even though he retained in the first outing. The challenger interrupted Page and accused the “Hangman” of being an entitled millennial cowboy.

The first match ended in a time limit draw following a 60 minute contest. Bryan accused Page of purposely stalling for time so that the title could be retained via a draw. It was then announced by Bryan that judges would be present and would determine a winner if the rematch also ended without a decisive winner. Page accepted this stipulation for the match to take place on January 5th 2022.

As previously mentioned, “Hangman” Adam Page and Bryan Danielson first faced off for the AEW World Championship on the Winter is Coming special. The match ended in a 60 minute time limit draw, and received praise from fans and critics.
