WWE have announced multiple matches due to take place on the December 27th edition of Raw. A championship match and former tag team champions facing off against each other are amongst the pre-announced contests.
In regards to the title match, Damian Priest will be defending the United States Championship against Dolph Ziggler on the red brand. Ziggler earned the opportunity by being victorious in a championship contenders match on the December 20th episode.
In a rematch from December 20th, Austin Theory and Finn Balor will face off once again on the 27th. Balor was victorious in the first contest due to Theory getting too confident. Following a conversation with Vince McMahon, Austin Theory managed to convince the chairman to get a rematch with the former Universal Champion.
Also on the December 20th Raw, AJ Styles and Omos reached a breaking point. A tag team loss to The Mysterios saw Omos turn on his former partner, and attack styles after the match was over. As a result, it has been announced that the former Raw Tag Team Champions will compete against each other on the Raw after Christmas.
The following matches have been announced to take place on the December 27th Raw:
- Austin Theory vs. Finn Balor
- Damian Priest (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler – Singles match for the United States Championship.
- Randy Orton vs. Otis.
- AJ Styles vs. Omos.
It should be noted that unlike the Christmas Eve SmackDown, this Raw will be airing live, with the show taking place at the Little Caesars arena in Detroit, Michigan. While the card is subject to change, it is most likely that WWE have announced multiple matches ahead of time due to the majority of programs taking a ratings hit during the festive period.
