“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has been discussed to be a part of WrestleMania 38. It has been reported that WWE are very interested in seeing The Texas Rattlesnake play a part of the biggest pay-per-view in their calendar of events. The report is courtesy of WrestleVotes, who have been known to be accurate with their reports over the previous years:
It should be noted that the report states that WWE want Austin to do more than simply appear at the upcoming WrestleMania, which takes place in Austin’s home state of Texas. It is unclear what is meant by “a meaningful part,” but this could include being part of multiple segments, such as hosting the event, or possibly guest refereeing a match on the 2 night event.
“Stone Cold’s” previous appearance at WrestleMania was also when Dallas hosted the pay-per-view in the 32nd edition of the show. The segment saw Steve Austin join Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels in a post match angle involving The New Day and The League of Nations.
As stated in the report, the WWE Hall of Famer will not be competing at WrestleMania 38, due to being retired since 2003. Austin’s final match took place at WrestleMania 19, where “Stone Cold” lost to The Rock.
