A big six man tag team match has been announced for the “Holiday Bash” special of AEW Dynamite. On the December 22nd episode of All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show, the team of MJF and FTR will face CM Punk, Sting and Darby Allin.
This match is the first time that MJF and CM Punk have the opportunity to get physical with each other inside the ring. While both MJF and Punk have traded insults and promos with each other throughout the previous weeks, neither man has yet to make contact with the other.
The end of the “Winter Is Coming” special of Dynamite saw MJF defeat Dante Martin to keep control of the Dynamite Diamond Ring. After the match, FTR raised MJF onto their shoulders and the lights went out. When the lights came back on, both Darby and Sting were in the ring and attacked The Pinnacle members. MJF, Dax and Cash then got the upper hand on Sting and Allin, which brought out CM Punk with a baseball bat as an equaliser. Punk ran to the ring, but the Pinnacle members fled before the bat could be used.
As MJF and FTR made their way up the ramp, the graphic came up on the bottom left of the screen to confirm the 6 man tag team match will be taking place at Holiday Bash.
AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash will take place on Wednesday December 22nd. The current announced line-up for the show is as follows:
- CM Punk, Sting, & Darby Allin vs. MJF & FTR – Six man tag team match.
- Malakai Black vs. Griff Garrison.
- Adam Cole’s Christmas gift for The Young Bucks & Bobby Fish.
