A Steel Cage match has been announced to take place on the December 6th edition of Monday Night Raw. The match will see WWE Champion Big E face Kevin Owens inside of the structure in a non-title match.

The match will continue the build towards Big E’s next defence of the WWE Championship, which takes place at the Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st. At the New Year’s Day event, Big E will face both Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match with the title being on the line. All 3 men have been either present at ringside or have provided an interference while the other two have been competing, so the Steel Cage stipulation is designed to prevent Rollins from interfering.

The following matches and segments have been announced to take place on the December 6th edition of Raw:

• Big E vs. Kevin Owens – Steel Cage match.
• Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan – Singles match for the Raw Women’s Championship.
• Miz TV with Edge as the special guest.

It should also be noted that Big E has recently competed inside a Steel Cage on Raw. the WWE Champion defeated former champion Bobby Lashley inside the cage in his first defence since winning the title.
