Becky Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan on the December 6th edition of the red brand. Liv Morgan earned the opportunity by being victorious in a Fatal 5 Way match on the November 8th episode of Raw.

Although Morgan earned the title shot at the start of November, it was never announced when the championship match was going to take place. On the November 29th Raw, a contract signing took place making the match official for December 6th. The segment was newsworthy due to a line by the number one contender, in which recent WWE releases were apparently referenced:

“You’re the reason why your friend (Charlotte) is gone just like the reason why your big, fat greedy contract is the reason why my friends are gone,” Morgan told Lynch. “How does it feel knowing you become everything you despised?”

Liv Morgan was once a member of The Riott Squad faction, along with Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. Both Riott and Logan have been released by WWE. Later in the show, Liv Morgan lead a 5 woman team to victory over a 5 woman team that was lead by Becky Lynch.

If Liv Morgan defeats Becky Lynch, this will be Morgan’s first championship reign in WWE. Also on the November 29th Raw, the first match for the upcoming pay-per-view Day 1 was announced.
