The person responsible for stealing Vince McMahon’s $100 million Cleopatra Egg has been revealed. WWE Raw superstar Austin Theory was revealed to be the person behind the theft, which occurred at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
During Survivor Series, the WWE Chairman emerged from a limousine with the egg, which took pride of place in McMahon’s office. The prized possession was used to promote the Netflix film Red Notice, which stars former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Later in the show, the egg went missing, which made the McMahon irate.
At the start of the fallout edition of Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon met with WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. It was then stated by Vince that whoever found the egg and returned it would be rewarded with a WWE Championship opportunity.
The mystery was solved later in the show. Sami Zayn reported to Vince McMahon that the person responsible was Austin Theory. The reason for the theft was that Theory just wanted to take a selfie with it, was scared by security, so went back to the hotel with the artefact. Instead of punishing Austin, McMahon rewarded him with the WWE Championship opportunity.
The WWE Championship match took place in the main event of Raw. Big E successfully defended the title against Theory, despite both Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens providing distractions throughout.
