Reported Injury At AEW Full Gear

A wrestler on the AEW roster has reportedly picked up an injury at the recent pay-per-view Full gear, which took place on Saturday November 13th. It is being reported that Eddie Kingston picked up a shoulder injury in the hard hitting match against CM Punk at Full Gear.

Kingston was scheduled to make an appearance for the Big Event convention in New York city following the pay-per-view. However, as reported by PWInsider, Kingston did not appear at the convention. In a follow up report, also posted by PWInsider, Eddie Kingston seems to have confirmed the injury. Northeast Wrestling, who were hosting the event has provided an update, stating that the AEW star has contacted them to confirm the report:

“Eddie Kingston contacted us late last night. Due to an injury to his shoulder in his match with CM Punk last night at the AEW PPV, he will be unable to appear at Big Event NY Convention today. He is having his shoulder checked out and having a series of medical tests this morning.”

At the time of writing, both Kingston and AEW have not provided an update on this report. It should also be noted that Malakai Black was also due to appear at the Big Event convention, but also did not appear. No update on why Black did not appear has been provided.

As previously mentioned, the match in question where Kingston reportedly picked up the injury was against CM Punk. The match was more like a fight than a technical match, with multiple stiff strikes and Punk getting busted open in the contest. The match was won by CM Punk with the straight edge star hitting 2 Go To Sleeps onto Kingston.

In the main event of Full Gear, a new AEW Champion was crowned as “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Kenny Omega with two Buck-Shot Lariats to capture his first world title.
