The Rock Says There Is “No Truth” To Roman Reigns Match

The Rock has addressed the rumours that he may be facing Roman Reigns in the future in a recent interview. The Rock, now going in Hollywood by the name Dwayne Johnson, recently spoke with Andrew Freund to promote the upcoming film, Red Notice. In the interview, which can be seen below, Johnson discusses the rumoured match with Reigns, which has been speculated to take place either at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas or WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood.

The former WWE Champion said the following to Andrew:

“Andrew, you’ve known me for a very long time, I can tell you that there is no truth to that right now. Possibly down the road, we will see,”

“We stay very close, myself and Roman Reigns, and I’m very happy, very proud for the work that he’s doing, as well as The Usos, my other family members. So those guys will continue to do what they’re doing, and we’ll see down the road.”

WWE have been heavily promoting The Rock throughout November, which is expected to culminate at the 2021 Survivor Series pay-per-view, which marks 25 years since The Rock made his debut in WWE. Earlier in 2021, it had been speculated that The people’s Champion may be present at the event, possibly to start the build to the now apparent unconfirmed match with Roman Reigns. However, recent reports have stated that due to a scheduling conflict with filming, an appearance by the Great One seems unlikely.
