The ratings have been published for the October 6th edition of AEW Dynamite. On average, 1.053 million people watched the most recent broadcast of All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show. The numbers have been obtained by Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics:
Compared to the previous week, there has been a drop in viewership for Dynamite. On average, 1.152 million viewers watched the September 29th edition of the show. The drop in viewers calculates to approximately 8.5%. Unfortunately for AEW, the past few weeks have seen a steady drop in viewers week on week, with the October 6th episode drawing the lowest rating since before AEW All Out.
The key demographic rating obtained by Dynamite was 0.37, equating to around 480,000 viewers. This is significantly down on the previous week’s rating of 0.45. Show Buzz Daily reports that the majority of 18-49 year old viewers watched the baseball game of the St. Louis Cardinals vs. LA Dodgers. The MLB game obtained an 18-49 rating of 1.73, which is over 4 and half times the rating obtained by AEW.
AEW Dynamite’s biggest talking point was the return of Adam Page, who entered the Casino Ladder Match as the joker and won. This means that Page will take on Kenny Omega for the AEW Championship at some point in the future.
Also on Dynamite, it was announced that a new championship will be contested for in early 2022.
