AEW Dynamite Draws Second Best Rating In Show’s History

The September 8th episode of AEW Dynamite has seen a very successful week in viewership. On average, the fallout episode from the All Out pay per view drew a audience of 1.319 million viewers. The numbers have been obtained from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics:

As noted in the headline, this is the second highest viewing figure in Dynamite history. The only edition of the show to have more people watching was the debut episode of All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show, which drew 1.409 million viewers. The ratings have seen a substantial jump from the previous week, with an increase of more than 25% from the September 1st rating of 1.07 million viewers.

The key demographic rating is also very newsworthy for this edition of Dynamite. 681,000 of the AEW Dynamite viewers were aged between 18 and 49 years old, ranking the show number one for that demographic on Wednesday night [Source: Show Buzz Daily]. This number beat the long established WWE RAW in that age range, with WWE’s flagship only drawing 678,000 for this demographic. By contrast, NXT’s entire viewership for Tuesday night was 601,000.

The show focused on the events of AEW All Out and the aftermath of the events taking place. September 8th Dynamite was live from Cincinnati Ohio, and was marketed as a homecoming for Jon Moxley. The former AEW Champion main evented the show against New Japan star Minoru Suzuki.
