Adam Cole is now officially part of the All Elite Wrestling roster. Cole made his first appearance for the company during the All Out pay per view on September 5th.
The main event of All Out saw Kenny Omega defend his AEW World Championship against Christian Cage. The Champion then furthered the beatdown on the challenger, which was briefly interrupted by Jurassic Express, but the team were quickly disposed of. Following the victory, Omega gloated his dominance to the crowd along with the rest of The Elite. The lights then went down and Adam Cole’s now music hit:
The new AEW signee then made his way to the ring to meet The Elite in the ring. Instead of fighting Omega and company, Adam Cole attacked Jungle Boy with a superkick. Cole embraced the men in the ring, seemingly joining The Elite:
Adam Cole was last seen wrestling as part of the NXT brand for WWE. In his final match for the black and gold brand, the former NXT Champion lost the Undisputed Showdown match to his former Undisputed Era stablemate Kyle O’Reilly.
Cole’s contract status has been uncertain up until recently. It was reported last month that Adam Cole’s contract with WWE had expired on August 27th, following a short extension to finish his feud with Kyle O’Reilly.
AEW confirmed the signing with the now customary ‘All Elite’ graphic:
