The viewership for the August 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite has been revealed. The show drew an average of 1.172 million viewers. The figures have been obtained by Brandon Thurston at Wrestlenomics:
Also reported by Thurston, this is the third highest viewership in the history of Dynamite. The two shows that achieved higher ratings were the debut episode of Dynamite and the April 14th 2021 episode, which was AEW’s first time running unopposed on Wednesdays. Nearly 200,000 more people watched All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show compared to the previous week.
The August 25th Dynamite saw a strong viewing in the key 18-49 demographic. 620,000 of the 1.172 million viewers were aged between 18-49, which equates to a 0.48 rating. This is the second best rating in this age range in the history of Dynamite. Only the debut episode has achieved a higher rating than this episode.
The biggest talking point from Dynamite was the debut of CM Punk on the flagship show, following his return to wrestling on the August 20th edition of Rampage. Also on the show, Chris Jericho announced that he will be facing MJF one more time at All Out. If Jericho loses, he will no longer compete in-ring for AEW.
