WWE Confirms Return To Saudi Arabia

WWE have announced their return to Saudi Arabia in 2021. WWE Crown Jewel will take place in October 2021, with a specific date as yet unannounced. The announcement was made official during SummerSlam with a promotion video airing during the pay per view:

Promoted in the video as a place that brings out the best for all the world to see, this will be the first time that WWE have held an event in Saudi Arabia since February 2020. The absence of the international event has been due to the COVID 19 pandemic, which halted all non-essential travel between countries.

The 2020 Crown Jewel pay per view was main evented by The Fiend defending his Universal Championship against Goldberg. The match saw the Hall of Famer easily defeat Bray Wyatt with a single Jackhammer.

There have currently been no matches announced for the event. However, WWE traditionally stacks the cars for the Saudi Arabia event with big stars and big matches. One star who is heavily likely to be featured is Brock Lesnar. The Beast made his surprise return to WWE at SummerSlam and confronted Universal Champion Roman Reigns after the main event.
