The viewership for the August 18th edition of AEW Dynamite has been revealed. The show drew an average of 975,000 viewers. The numbers have been obtained from ShowBuzzDaily:
The under one million rating is a repeat from the previous week. 979,000 viewers tuned in to the August 11th episode of Dynamite. However, the rating has held steady from the previous week, with a drop of only 5,000 viewers.
The flagship edition of All Elite Wrestling was consistent with their key demographic rating. Both the August 11th and August 18th episodes each obtained a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 age bracket. AEW ranked 4th overall in ratings for this key group of viewers.
The show was main evented by the final labour of Jericho, where Chris Jericho faced MJF. In the match, Le Champion was banned from using The Judas Effect finisher and the Fozzy song Judas in his entrance. This created one of the most unique entrances in All Elite Wrestling’s history:
The show also announced a new match for All Out. On September 5th, Paul Wight will be making his in-ring debut for the company.
