The Rock Reportedly Set To Appear At Survivor Series

The Rock has reportedly been in talks to appear at Survivor Series. WWE have announced that the upcoming November pay per view will be taking place at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York.

Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men Podcast previously reported back in July that The Great One was pencilled in to make an appearance at the big four pay per view event. Now that the location and date has been confirmed, Zarian has provided another tease following the official announcement:

While this is nothing official, Andrew Zarian has recently correctly reported numerous breaking stories. Some of these stories have included NXT moving to Tuesday nights and the return of The Million Dollar Championship to NXT. While the gif is just a tease and the news was reported weeks ago, WWE are known for plans changing frequently.

If this report is correct, this will be the first time that the Hollywood star has appeared on WWE TV since 2019. The Rock last appeared as part of the debut episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX:

The return would be timely in relation to The Rock’s Career. The former WWE Champion debuted at the 1996 Survivor Series event, meaning that the upcoming show would be the 25 year anniversary of the debut of then Rocky Maivia.

WWE would be hoping that this buzz would create similar interest to last year’s event. The 2020 Survivor Series saw The Final Farewell of The Undertaker, who retired on the 30th anniversary of his debut.

The Rock’s last appearance at Survivor Series was at the 2011 event. In the main event of the show, The Rock teamed with John Cena to face The Miz and R-Truth:
