Title Change At AEW Fyter Fest Night 2

Lance Archer is the new IWGP United States Champion. Archer defeated the now former champion Jon Moxley in the main event of Dynamite. Moxley vs. Archer fought over the title in a Texas Death Match on night two of the Fyter Fest special.

The ending of the match saw Lance Archer chokeslam Jon Moxley onto a barbed wire board. The former AEW World Champion was unable to answer the 10 count, meaning Archer is now the new IWGP US Champion.

This reign is Archer’s second as US Champion. Lance Archer was defeated in his first reign by Jon Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom 14. This match was also a Texas Death Match.

The Fyter Fest rematch was a brutal one. Both men were busted open by the end as a result of violent spots in the match. An attack using a fork and a double chair chokeslam were some of the highlights of the match:

After the match, Hikuleo of The Bullet Club confronted Lance Archer. It has been confirmed that on the July 28th edition of Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, Archer will defend the IWGP US Championship against Hikuleo.

Also next week, the second labour of Jericho will take place. Chris Jericho will be facing Nick Gage in a no-disqualification match.
