WWE will be returning to the world’s most famous arena in September. The September 10th edition of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate from Madison Square Garden in New York City. This will be the first time that WWE have played The Garden since before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the more memorable moments in WWE have taken place in this arena. In 2019 “Stone Cold” Steve Austin made is return to Madison Square Garden for the first time in over 20 years:

WWE will make its highly anticipated return to New York City, as Friday Night SmackDown will take place at Madison Square Garden on September 10.
The weekly spectacular, broadcast live every Friday on FOX at 8/7 C, features Universal Champion Roman Reigns, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rey & Dominik Mysterio, WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews, Edge, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Seth Rollins, Big E, Kevin Owens and more.
Tickets for the event will be available starting next Friday, July 9, at 10 am ET via Ticketmaster.

With WWE returning to the road once again for Summer 2021 and beyond, big venues are being booked to welcome the return of the touring brand. It was recently announced that a full capacity Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will be hosting SummerSlam on August 21st.
On top of historical events, Madison Square Garden has hosted numerous pay per view events. One of which has been the Royal Rumble in 2008. The Rumble match from this event can be viewed below:
