WWE have released multiple superstars from their contracts. The news of various superstars being released from their contracts came throughout the day on Friday June 25th. The names of released talents are as follows:
- Tyler Breeze
- Fandango
- Killian Dain
- Chase Parker
- Matt Martel
- Tony Nese
- Ariya Daivari
- Marina Shafir
- Samir Singh
- Sunil Singh
- Arturo Ruas
- Curt Stallion
- August Grey
This is the third time a batch of WWE releases have happened in 2021. The first came in April, where Samoa Joe and The IIConics amongst others were let go. In May, another round of cuts happened, where names such as Braun Strowman and Aleister Black were released by WWE.
Because these talents are not on the main roster, an official statement by WWE has not been published regarding the releases. Instead, the names have been obtained from the social media accounts of wrestlers and Fightful.
Another name that was part of the June 25th releases was writer Kenice Mobley. The former writer was recently in the news for her comments made about her lack of knowledge of her employer WWE. This included not knowing the name of the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. More information can be found here on this story.
It should be noted that some of the released names had already filmed matches for 205 Live, which had been taped and was due to air later that day. August Grey had a sense of humour about his release and made the following comment on his pre-taped match:
There is currently no reason as to why these releases have taken place. Features of Wrestling will report more on this when more information is known.
