New TNT Champion Crowned On AEW Dynamite

Miro is the new TNT Champion. The Bulgarian captured the title from Darby Allin in the main event of the May 12th episode of Dynamite.

Miro defeated Allin with the use of his Game Over submission manoeuvre. Darby refused to submit to the hold, so the match was ended by referee stoppage. This is Miro’s first championship reign in AEW since joining the promotion in September 2020. The former Rusev in WWE did capture the United States Championship 3 times while at the promotion.

The victory by Miro ends Darby Allin’s lengthy TNT title reign. Darby had held the TNT Title since November 2020. This title change adds to a newsworthy episode of AEW Dynamite. More matches were made official for the upcoming Double or Nothing pay per view on May 30th. Also, the return of The Stadium Stampede was seemingly announced on the show.
