Two new champions were crowned at last night’s WrestleMania.
In the main event of the show, Bianca Belair became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion by defeating Sasha Banks. This is the Royal Rumble winner’s first championship in both of her main roster and NXT runs in WWE.
Also on the first of a 2 night WrestleMania, new RAW Tag Team Champions have been crowned. The team of AJ Styles and Omos defeated The New Day. This was the in ring debut of Omos, and this championship now makes AJ Styles a grand slam champion in WWE.
In the opening match of the show, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley retained his title by defeating challenger Drew McIntyre. The show was eventually started after a delay caused by weather warnings in the Tampa area.
Here are the results for the other matches that happened on night one:
- Natalya and Tamina won Tag Team Turmoil. They will face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on night 2.
- Cesaro defeated Seth Rollins.
- Braun Strowman defeated Shane McMahon.
- Bad Bunny and Damian Priest defeated The Miz and John Morrison.
